Casegood Specifications

  1. Wood Components: All hardwood shall be kiln dried solid lumber, premium grade selected free of visual and structural defects, species as specified per product.

  2. Wood Veneer Components: Wood species as specified per product. Core to be minimum 45lbs density. All panels are rotary cut and sealed on front, bottom and back panels.

  3. Top Construction: High Pressure laminate, Vinyl Wrapped or Melamine surface as specified per product. Contract grade particle core with minimum density of 45 lbs. Edges to be pvc, vinyl wrapped or high density board as specified per product.

  4. End Panel Construction: Wood veneer or Melamine laminate panel with Contract Grade flake board, 45 lbs. minimum density. Wood or PVC banded on the front edge. PVC banded on the bottom and back edge to prevent moisture absorption.

  5. Drawer Front and Kick Plate Construction: Solid Wood, Vinyl Wrap or Melamine surface as specified per product. Vinyl wrap and Melamine components have contract grade particle core with minimum density of 45 lbs and edges to be pvc, vinyl wrapped or high density board as specified per product.

  6. Drawer Construction: Drawer boxes shall be four-sided, mitre jointed wrap-around boxes. A 1/8” fiberboard bottom will be used. Each box shall be vinyl wrapped and moisture sealed. Bottom in box will be glued, and stapled to drawer box. Glides are side mounted drawer glides with a 75 lb. rating.

  7. Doors: Hinges are European hinges, with varying degrees of swing dependent upon the case.

  8. Rear Casters and Front Glides: All units to come complete with two rear nylon casters for ease of mobility and two front adjustable height glides for unit levelling.

  9. Wood Finish Standards: Standard finish shall be comprised of a high solid (over 40%), catalyzed, conversation lacquer offering superior resistance to abrasives and chemicals commonly found in a healthcare/hospitality environment. This material must be highly resistant to hot/cold checking and successfully tested to temperature ranges between 120 deg. F to –5 deg. F.
